Campus
D-line Port Harcourt
Duration
1 day (Full-time)

The Hydrogen Sulphide (H₂S) Training course provides essential knowledge and practical skills for working safely in environments where H₂S gas is present. Hydrogen sulphide is a highly toxic, flammable, and potentially lethal gas commonly found in oil and gas operations, wastewater treatment facilities, chemical plants, and confined spaces. This course equips participants with the ability to recognize H₂S hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in using gas detection equipment, donning personal protective equipment (PPE) and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), and responding to H₂S emergencies. The course also emphasizes safe work procedures, ventilation strategies, and proper evacuation techniques to minimize exposure. Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA, NIOSH, and industry-specific standards, will be thoroughly covered to ensure workplace safety and legal adherence.
